However, on Sunday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Burford is visiting with the Los Angeles Chargers and arrived there Sunday night.
Burford, 25, played collegiately at UTSA from 2018-21, earning All-Conference USA honors twice before the 49ers took him in the fourth round (No. 134 overall) of the 2022 NFL draft.
Over the last four years, he's appeared in 56 games and started 38 between both guard and both tackle spots. In 2025, he played 457 snaps at left guard and one at left tackle while dealing with injuries.
In Los Angeles, he could connect with former 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.
