In a video that now has over 5 million views, child influencer Kobe Cash, (@kobecash.nyc) asks the NBA star, “what's your bodega order?”

“My bodega order? Well, first of all, I'm not in the city, but if I did have a bodega order: peach Snapple, purple Doritos, and that'll be an everything bagel with egg and cheese, hashbrowns, spicy mayo,” Brunson replied. “Toasted,” he added.

“Everyone is better than purple doritos until its time to be better than purple doritos,” the Doritos account commented on the post, referring to a viral quote highlighting Brunson's ability to outmatch competitors that says, “everyone's better than Jalen Brunson until it's time to be better than Jalen Brunson.”

Brunson's order has since gone viral, with people across the city ordering the “Brunson egg and cheese.”

A bagel spot called Bongiorno Bagels shared on Instagram that it was selling an order called “The Brunson,” featuring eggs, American cheese, hash browns and chipotle mayo on a blue and orange bagel.

“The Brunson is still selling like crazy!” the account wrote in its caption.

It commented on another post recreating the order, saying that the shop's “Brunson special sold 65 sandwiches today alone.”

“Yeah… he's doing it right. Adding it to our menu asap,” the bagel shop wrote.

A New York diner called Mansion also recreated the order with two eggs and melted cheese on its orange and blue Knicks bagel.

“KNICKS IN 4!! 🧡💙 Brunson Egg & Cheese 🏀🥯,” the spot captioned its post sharing the order. “The Brunson Egg & Cheese is running for as long as the series lasts!”

In an interview on the 'Today' show alongside the rest of the Knicks' starting five, including Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Mikal Bridges, Brunson received his bodega order directly from Al Roker.

Host Craig Melvin gifted the players with Michael Jordan's Cincoro tequila, along with a tray of breakfast sandwiches carried by Roker.

“Mr. Roker's bringing in some breakfast sandwiches,” Melvin said, as Roker handed Towns the bottle of tequila before offering Brunson a bagel, saying he had his bodega order.

“This is my order?” Brunson asked, and Roker confirmed, adding that it was complete with “hash browns.” “Oh yeah,” Brunson said, taking the sandwich.

“Brunson egg and cheese,” Towns joked.

“We feel like we should probably toast the city of New York one more time,” Melvin said, as he and each of the players, along with co-host Savannah Guthrie, held a champagne glass filled with tequila.

The group raised their glasses and held their Brunson egg and cheese sandwiches while onlookers cheered and chanted, “let's go Knicks.”

Hart then took a bite of the sandwich while the others laughed.

“They're eating the sandwiches too,” Melvin pointed out. “They are,” Guthrie replied, laughing.
