Superstar Anthony Edwards will be out for “multiple weeks.”

Edwards was diagnosed with a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee. Fortunately, imaging showed no ligament damage, but nevertheless, the team will be without him for the foreseeable future.

Edwards is the engine that makes the T-Wolves go, and his absence now will really force the rest of the cast to dig deep. They managed to do just that in their 112-96 win in Game 4 against the Nuggets.

DiVincenzo joins Edwards on injured list

To make matters worse, the Timberwolves also lost Edwards’ backcourt partner, Donte DiVincenzo. His injury is much more serious, now diagnosed as a torn Achilles.

His season is over with a lengthy recovery ahead of him. DiVincenzo will likely miss the entire 2026-27 season.

That’s a combined 40 points and seven assists out of the lineup for the T-Wolves moving forward. They only need to scrape together one more win over the Nuggets to advance to the second round. But their next matchup, likely against the San Antonio Spurs, will be an extremely difficult hill to climb without their entire starting backcourt.
