Hannah Green did it again.

The Australian won her seventh career LPGA Tour victory at the HSBC Women’s World Championship and in the process moved to second in the Race to CME Globe. It is still very early in the season, but that is certainly notable and worth celebrating.

As noted Green has racked up some LPGA Tour wins to this point in her career, and one of the previous six is this specific tournament. Green became just the third player to ever win this event twice and joins Jin Young Ko and Inbee Park on that list.

What else to know about Hannah’s win

It is always interesting to contextualize tournament wins with what makes them unique and special.

Consider the following for Hannah:

  • She has surpassed $8M in career official earnings
  • It was her first win in almost 500 days (the 2024 BMW Ladies Championship was won 497 days prior)
  • It was her first win with her husband as her caddie

That last note is particularly fun. Imagine the couple bringing that up at dinner parties when sharing fun facts.

Congratulations to Hannah Green. Up next for the LPGA Tour is the Blue Bay at Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course. Rio Takeda is the defending champion.
