The Golden State Warriors have remained afloat amidst Jimmy Butler's season-ending ACL tear and 4-time NBA champion Stephen Curry's continued absence due to a right knee injury.

Much of their recent success can be attributed to a consistent surge in productivity from the franchise's former No. 55 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Gui Santos.

After posting averages of 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 steals on a blistering 43.6% three-point percentage in the month of February (9 games), ESPN's Shams Charania announced that the do-it-all Brazilian forward earned himself a multi-year contract extension with the club.

"Golden State Warriors forward Gui Santos has signed a three-year, $15 million contract extension with the franchise, sources tell ESPN," Charania shared Saturday afternoon.

"The deal includes a player option in 2028-29."

At the perfect time, Santos has shined for a Warriors squad which hasn't seen Curry suit up over the past month, injecting energy into the group while helping to rekindle 'Strength in Numbers' mantra.

Through 48 appearances this season, Santos has contributed 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds on 39.0% shooting from deep and an excellent 63.4% effective field goal percentage in 16.0 minutes.

Santos has proven to be a reliable option over an extended stretch in a prominent role, knocking down shots from long-range and locking up on the defensive end to the tune of a 113 defensive rating per 100 possessions and a stellar 1.3 defensive box plus-minus.

Add in his infectious, never-say-die spirit expressed through diving for loose balls and competing for offensive rebounds, and his extension with the franchise makes a great deal of sense for a team fighting to stay relevant in a loaded Western Conference.

The third-year forward has been removed from this upcoming summer's restricted free agency market, and he'll stick around in Golden State for the foreseeable future.
