“This connection is amazing” – Chelsea player names two team mates he’s linking with

Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos says he has an amazing connection with Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian in this team.

It’s the Brazilian connection of course, and Santos believes that is has become amazing for the team that the three of them are linking and bonding on and off the pitch.

It’s obviously great for any player arriving at a new club to have a fellow national at the same club and people who speak the same language of them, it is always going to help them settle in, especially a young player.

Pedro is that little bit older, but both Santos and Estevao are still very young and they would have welcomed having this connection at Chelsea in these early moments.

In words cited on X this week, Santos said:

“I think this connection is amazing for us. Now, I’m here with Estêvão [Willian] and Joao [Pedro]. We talk a lot to work hard everyday to keep our names in the history of Chelsea. We want to win, we want to joga bonito [play beautifully].”

And we want you to joga bonito too my friend!

Santos has been superb this season and seems to have become a pretty important player under Rosenior, helping to stabilise that midfield in front of the back four.

In other news…

The appointment of Liam Rosenior as Blues boss was seen as a bit of a gamble by Chelsea fans, but one pundit likes his style so far.

Chelsea have rebuffed claims that they will have to sell top players in the summer transfer window for various reasons, and say they are complicit with UEFA’s financial rules.
