Konnor Griffin, the top prospect in baseball this year, has superstar potential and the hype to go with it. But after a few Spring Training games, he was still looking for his first hit. That wait didn't last long, as he had a breakout performance against the Boston Red Sox.
As the MLB Twitter/x account shared, Griffin hit two home runs against the Red Sox, both over the mock version of the Green Monster in left field.

Griffin's first home run was a long one off Major League veteran Ranger Suarez. The former Philadelphia Phillies lefty has been a great starter for a while. Griffin hitting a homer off Suarez is a great look.

That homer was the first of his Spring, but also his first hit after beginning 0-5 at the plate with two strikeouts, no hits, and no walks across two games.
But Griffin didn't stop at just one home run. As MLB Pipeline shared on Twitter/x, Griffin hit another homer, this time, it was a 440-foot homer that was destroyed over the left-center field wall.

Griffin is widely touted as the best prospect in all of Major League Baseball, and this performance against the Red Sox shows just how great he can be.
The 19-year-old shortstop/outfielder is one of the most exciting prospects in some time in Major League Baseball.
He's not confirmed to be making the Opening Day roster or not, but after this two-homer performance against the Red Sox early in Spring Training, it will be hard to justify him not making the roster right away.
Pirates fans will love to see Griffin mashing pitchers, especially one as good as Suarez, already this Spring. Griffin might break into the Majors from Opening Day, and this two-homer performance will be the beginning of that push for Griffin.
