Micah Parsons says he was almost traded to the Eagles in exchange for Jalen Carter
· Yahoo Sports
The Dallas Cowboys ended up trading star pass rush Micah Parsons to the Green BAy Packers just days before the start of the 2025 regular season, but it seems that reports that linked him to the Eagles were legitimate. During the lead up to Super Bowl LX, Parsons hosted an interview with A.J. Brown for Bleacher Report, and talked about how close he actually got to returning to his home state.
Parsons said one of the reasons he didn’t end up in Philly is because the draw for his would be to play alongside Jalen Carter, but the defensive tackle is who the Cowboys wanted in return for Parsons, plus some picks. Carter leaving the Eagles made it a no-go for Parsons, and he ultimately ended up in Green Bay.

Obviously, Parsons had some level of input into where he went via trade, but there’s little reason to believe Howie Roseman would’ve moved forward with a deal that sent Carter to their NFC East rival. Still, now we know that the talks between the two teams were pretty serious, even if the Eagles ultimately didn’t get a deal done.
