When the Division 4 boys lacrosse chase for the state championship started, there were 34 teams in the running. Three weeks of exciting playoff action has whittled the field down to the final two teams.

Coincidentally, they are also the top two teams from the original bracket: No. 1 seed Cohasset High and No. 2 seed Nantucket.
Cohasset and Nantucket will play for the Division 4 crown at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on the campus of Worcester State College. Cohasset comes into the game with a record of 16-5. Nantucket is working on a superb record of 19-3.
This is Cohasset’s 12th appearance in the boys lacrosse state title game with six championships to their credit, the last one coming in 2023. The Skippers are tied for the second most championship appearances in MIAA history with Medfield, Duxbury and Lincoln-Sudbury. The Longmeadow program is far ahead of the pack on this list with 40 appearances.
Nantucket has made it to the state championship game once before, defeating Sandwich in 2024 by the score of 7-6.
