However, that hasn’t stopped Saudi Arabia from circling once again, as the country looks to bring in the next big star who can help increase the visibility of the league.
According to Mundo Deportivo, two of the biggest clubs in the Saudi Pro League, Al Hilal and Al Nassr, have emerged as the leading candidates to make a formal move for the Brazilian winger this summer/

The report suggests the Saudi clubs are prepared to offer Barcelona €80 million for the 29-year-old.
The financial incentive for Raphinha personally would be even more eye-catching, with the report indicating they are willing to quadruple his current net salary at the Camp Nou.
Raphinha holds a contract with Barcelona until 2028, having renewed last May, and has consistently maintained his desire to stay.
For now, negotiations are not at an advanced stage, with the Brazilian currently focused on representing Brazil at the World Cup under Carlo Ancelotti.

This is not the first time Saudi Arabia has come calling.
Interest emerged in 2024 and again last summer, on both occasions ending with Raphinha choosing to remain in Catalonia.
“The offer we received from Saudi Arabia was very tempting. It would have solved not only my personal life, but also that of my parents, my son, and many other people,” Raphinha himself had admitted at the time.
It must be noted that Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus is a long-time admirer of Raphinha, while the squad features former Barcelona players Joao Felix and Inigo Martinez.
At Al Hilal, Simone Inzaghi’s side boasts Karim Benzema and fellow Brazilian Malcom among their ranks. For now, the Brazilian is fully focused on the upcoming World Cup campaign.
