As the NFL released its national TV schedule for the 2026 preseason, the Detroit Lions were nowhere to be found.

The NFL has released its national television schedule for the 2026 preseason:

Hall of Fame Game (NBC):
• Panthers vs. Cardinals — Aug. 6
Week 2:
• Raiders at Texans (ESPN) — Aug. 20
• Seahawks at Titans (FOX) — Aug. 23
Week 3:

According to the league's release, the following games will be nationally televised:
- Thursday, Aug. 6: Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals on NBC at 8 p.m. ET (Hall of Fame Game)
- Thursday, Aug. 20: Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET
- Sunday, Aug. 23: Seattle Seahawks at Tennessee Titans on FOX at 8 p.m. ET
- Thursday, Aug. 27: New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns on Amazon Prime Video at 8 p.m. ET
- Friday, Aug. 28: Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles on CBS at 8 p.m. ET
With Detroit off the national broadcast calendar for this year's preseason, fans can still catch the Lions on TV, but only locally through the Lions TV Network.
The Lions begin their 2026 NFL preseason on Thursday, Aug. 13, against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
