Bryce Carl, Sumner — Junior left fielder plated four runs and went 3-for-3 with two doubles in the state championship game, lifting Sumner over Gonzaga Prep, 7-0, for the Class 4A title in Everett on Saturday.
Liam Gustafson, Tumwater — The junior right fielder’s go-ahead, two-run double in the third inning powered the T-Birds over Selah, 3-1, in Friday’s Class 2A state semifinals.
Braeden Konrad, Tumwater — Senior right-hander threw five scoreless innings in Saturday’s Class 2A state championship loss to Bainbridge, 1-0 (eight innings). Konrad allowed three hits with three walks and six strikeouts.
Matthew Ledbetter, Kentlake — The senior’s walk-off single in the eighth inning lifted Kentlake to the Class 3A state title in Saturday’s win over Eastside Catholic, 7-6. Kentlake’s starting pitcher went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI, adding five solid innings on the mound (3 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 4 K). On Friday, Ledbetter’s go-ahead, two-run double guided the Falcons past O’Dea, 2-1, in the Class 3A semifinals.
Jayden Mayfield, Orting — The junior right-hander’s complete game guided Orting to third place in the Class 2A state tournament on Saturday. Mayfield allowed two hits and one run with five walks and three strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Selah.
Jake Miller, Sumner — Junior infielder went 2-for-2 with a walk, RBI, two doubles, and three runs that powered Sumner to the Class 4A state title over Gonzaga Prep, 7-0, in Everett on Saturday. Miller added two hits and scored a run in Friday’s semifinal win over Kamiakin, 6-1.
Christopher Moore, Kentlake — The senior right-hander’s 6.2 strong innings in Friday’s Class 3A state semifinals (1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 5 BB, 8 K) carried Kentlake past O’Dea, 2-1. In Saturday’s Class 3A championship game, Moore’s double sparked a four-run rally in the seventh inning and powered the Falcons over O’Dea, 7-6, for the state title (2-for-3, 2 2B, 2 BB, 2 R, 2 RBI).
Luke Overbay, Tumwater — The junior’s one-run complete game carried Tumwater past Selah, 3-1, in Friday’s Class 2A state semifinals. Overbay allowed four hits and one run (none earned) with one walk and 13 strikeouts, adding a single at the plate (1-for-2, R).
Wyatt Plyler, Sumner — Junior right-hander threw six scoreless innings in the Class 4A state semifinals, allowing one hit and three walks with 10 strikeouts that lifted Sumner over Kamiakin, 6-1, in Everett on Friday.
Brody Santman, Sumner — Sophomore left-hander threw six scoreless innings in the state championship game, allowing two hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts that lifted Sumner over Gonzaga Prep, 7-0, for the Class 4A title in Everett on Saturday.
Jayden Schoenbachler, Orting — Leadoff third baseman went 2-for-4 with a triple in Saturday’s 5-1 win over Selah, helping secure third place in the Class 2A state tournament.
