Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart released a statement to the media about his stance on introducing President Trump last week at his New York rally.

Dart said he loves his teammates despite their differences.

“I love every single one of my brothers. Regardless of politics and of religious beliefs, regardless of anything that may be different between us,” he said.

But if that was some apology from Dart, Carter wasn’t having it.

He made his own statement and had no regrets about taking a stance.

“Some things are bigger than football. This is one of those things,” he said. If he chooses to align with Trump, it’s my responsibility to show the world that I stand against it.”

He also added, I don’t want him to say he's sorry. Stand on what you believe in, but it can’t be a problem if I stand on what I believe in.”

“As long as we have that understanding, it’s all good,” he said.

Neither player sounds like they regret their stance on their beliefs; time will tell if it will affect the team down the road.
