This offseason, there have been plenty of rumors circulating about the Celtics exploring a trade for Jaylen Brown. However, these speculations might be laid to rest following a recent social media post.

The official Celtics X page shared a photo on Friday of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown jumping up to high-five each other during pre-game introductions, captioned "Missing This."

Team social media pages often lack insight into whether a player will be traded. Yet, it's interesting that the Celtics recently posted a picture of Brown and Tatum, especially given all the rumors about potentially breaking them up.

One possible trade people around the NBA have speculated the Celtics might pursue is trading Brown for Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that might not be the case.

ESPN's NBA insider Brian Windhorst stated on Wednesday that he has not heard the Celtics are linked to Antetokounmpo.

“I know some people are linking him to Boston, but I have not heard that Giannis, Boston, and Milwaukee are serious about it, That’s out there, but I haven’t heard it," Windhorst said on ESPN Cleveland.

Many of the rumors about the Celtics trading Brown this offseason may be media speculation. The Boston front office may have already decided against breaking up the duo of Brown and Tatum anytime soon.
