4 schools pulled football, basketball and baseball postseason trifecta

Now that the field has been selected for the NCAA Baseball Tournament, we can identify the schools which achieved well in the three most prominent team sports for the 2025-2026 college sports cycle. Four schools made the College Football Playoff, the men's NCAA Basketball Tournament, and the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

Texas A&M

The Aggies didn't win a playoff game, but they did reach the CFP. Bucky McMillan inspired confidence among Texas A&M basketball fans by making the NCAA Tournament and winning a March Madness game. Texas A&M baseball will not only play in the NCAA Tournament but will host an NCAA regional.

Georgia

The Bulldogs won the SEC football championship and reached the CFP quarterfinals. They made the NCAA Basketball Tournament under coach Mike White. They won the SEC title in baseball and will host an NCAA regional.

Alabama

The Crimson Tide won a CFP first-round game. They reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. They are hosting an NCAA baseball regional.

Miami Hurricanes

Miami reached the CFP championship game before losing to Indiana. They won an NCAA Tournament game. They will participate in the baseball regionals, though not as a host. Notably, Miami is the only non-SEC program to pull off the "triple play" of CFP, basketball tournament, and baseball tournament.

Almost but not quite

Oregon made the CFP and the baseball tournament, but this was another down year for Dana Altman and men's basketball in Eugene.

Oklahoma made the CFP and the baseball tournament, but Porter Moser and Sooner men's basketball fell one win short of the NCAA basketball field of 68.

Ole Miss made the CFP and the baseball tournament, but Chris Beard and men's basketball fell flat.

Texas Tech made the CFP and the basketball tournament, but baseball had a terrible season.
