In a clip shared on the Spurs' Instagram page, the group of four nuns — clad in the team's jerseys — emphatically cheered, "Go, Spurs, go!" from courtside seats. Each in the group extended a hand to Spurs center Luke Kornet, who has been open about his Catholic faith, as they appeared to pray with him, which prompted a raucous response from the crowd, per The Athletic.

"I just really look up to the way he's not afraid to share his faith on the public scene," Salesian Sister Bernadette Mota recently said of Kornet to the website Sojourners. She also praised reigning Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama as "the best player," and noted Dylan Harper previously graduated from one of their Salesian schools.
"We're honored to get to go to the game tonight!" the Salesian Sisters wrote in an Instagram Story, adding, "Spurs Fam Through and Through."
On their Stories, the group of nuns revealed that their Spurs support runs deep, sharing several photos of years past with many members of the team.
According to their website, the Salesian Sisters work to reach young people through shared interests, especially through sports and Spurs fandom, as a way of "open[ing] doors for conversation" about their Christian faith.
Following the sisters' blessing, which quickly went viral online, the Spurs evened the series against the Thunder at two games apiece, with Kornet scoring six points, seven rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench, per The Athletic.
