While it might have taken a bit longer due to a lengthy weather delay, Alabama softball is now officially moving on to the 2026 Women's College World Series.

After a dominant Game 1 win Friday night, Alabama took the field Saturday afternoon for a second game against the SEC rival LSU Tigers, a matchup which was must-win for the visiting team from Baton Rouge.
Ultimately, it was Alabama who eventually took care of business following a long day at a packed Rhoads Stadium as the result of weather, with the Crimson Tide eventually clinching the series via a 4-1 victory, punching their ticket to Oklahoma City in the process.
Similar to Game 1, pitching was yet again the story for Alabama on Saturday. Vic Moten allowed only one earned run over four innings after drawing the start, while ace Jocelyn Briski closed the door with three scoreless innings after the weather delay.
The duo also combined for an impressive 12 strikeouts in the circle, seven of which came from Moten.
Offensively, Alabama used a three-run fourth inning to pull away for the victory. The inning featured a solo home run from Alexis Pupillo, as well as a two RBI single from Salen Hawkins, giving the Crimson Tide a lead they would never relinquish.
Here is how social media reacted following Alabama's Game 2 win over LSU on Saturday night.

The Tide have outscored their opponents 31-1 so far in the tourney. One run allowed is the fewest by a team entering the WCWS in the Super Regional era since 2019 😯 https://t.co/FNsY5pEh0x
