NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at Charlotte delayed by rain

The Charbroil 300NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Charlotte is under a weather delay after 33 of 200 laps on May 23.

The red flag was triggered at 5:35 p.m. Eastern/4:35 p.m. Central.

NASCAR elected to start the race at 5 p.m. Eastern/4 p.m. Central.

Fog and low-lying clouds set behind turns 3 and 4, while rain moved in from the south. After a competition caution on Lap 25, the field did not take the restart as rain increased across the track.

Justin Allgaier leads the race ahead of Connor Zilisch, Corey Day, Brandon Jones and Ross Chastain.

The race will be official after 90 laps, which is the completion of the second stage. The scheduled distance is 200 laps, 300 miles.
