Could point guard Tai Bell join his older brother Dia on the Forty Acres?

It’s officially a possibility after the 2028 basketball prospect received his offer from head coach Sean Miller and his staff on Wednesday, months after Dia’s early enrollment as the No. 4 quarterback in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The news comes after building interest between Bell and the Longhorns that included a visit to Austin in late February for a game against the Aggies at the Moody Center.

The evaluation process of the 6’3, 200-pounder continued over the ensuing three months until Texas joined Florida State, Houston, Kansas State, Pitt, Purdue, Syracuse, TCU, Texas A&M, and others in offering the basketball legacy, whose father Raja carved out a 12-year NBA career as a hard-nosed defender after going undrafted out of FIU.

At Mater Lakes Academy in the Miami area, Bell averaged 33.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 4.0 steals per game as a sophomore despite missing 10 contests due to injury, earning MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honorable mention.

A consensus five-star prospect, Bell is ranked as the No. 27 player nationally and the No. 4 point guard in the 2028 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Texas is set to have a pair of brothers playing football and basketball this year as guard Austin Goosby arrives in Austin to join his older brother Trevor, the standout left tackle for the Horns.
