2027 Summer Scouting Report: A.J. Harris, CB, Indiana
· Yahoo Sports
The 2025-2026 Indiana Hoosiers are going to go down as one of the best collegiate teams in history, but one of the most feel-good stories, too. This program has been built from the ground up, and now they are landing major commitments from High School prospects, as well as in the transfer portal. One of their biggest transfer lands was former Georgia and Penn State cornerback A.J. Harris. What does the 2027 summer scouting report look like?

A.J. Harris seems to be flying under the radar in terms of cornerback rankings. He has the ideal frame you want for an NFL cornerback and is strong enough to press well. His lands are strong and land firm when jamming on the line, often knocking his receiver back early. Crispy footwork when shadowing in man coverage, at times looking like he is running the route for his matchup. Willing tackler in run support, never shying away from getting dirty. Great closing speed when the route breaks earlier than anticipated.
He excels in press coverage, yes, but he can be a little too physical beyond the five-yard mark. This leads to unnecessary penalties, which can extend drives. Tends to be a little jumpy on routes when he is in his receiver's pocket. Strong in man coverage but needs to work on his feel in zone coverage. I love how willing he is to support run defense, but he would have many more tackles if he worked on form tackling.
