But what specific game is the most intriguing? We went through all 17 games and chose which game we believe to be the most interesting this season.

Jaguars vs. Texans (London)

Last season, the AFC South race came down to the wire. With both the Jaguars and Texans red-hot during the second half of the season, Jacksonville had to win out down the stretch to maintain their division lead, which they were able to do. There is no reason to think that this year's chase for the division crown won't be close as well.

With this game being played in London, the Jaguars don't have the luxury of facing the Texans at EverBank Stadium. Although this is an early-season game, with the second matchup between these two teams taking place in Houston, the outcome of this game could have significant playoff implications down the road. - Paul Bretl

Jaguars vs. Patriots

The Jaguars will have the chance to prove their legitimacy early in the season when they take on the New England Patriots in Week 3. What makes this particular game interesting, though, is that both teams are chasing the opportunity to prove they are legitimate contenders.

Both teams are going into 2026 with something to prove. The Jaguars have an ever-present chip on their shoulders, and have once again been disrespected and underrated in the offseason by analysts. Jacksonville will be looking to build on 2025's success and prove that this is a legitimate team to be respected and taken seriously.

The same can be said for the Patriots. They have a genuinely elite quarterback in Drake Maye. Heading into 2026, Maye will have a better offense to work with, too, making him even more of a threat. Yet on the flip side, the Patriots have a much more difficult schedule in 2026, and they will be eager to disprove the notion that their 2025 success was due to nothing more than luck and a slate full of bad opponents.

This game will be a measuring stick for both teams, both ascending AFC powerhouses, each wanting to send a strong message in 2026. Week 3 will give be their first chance to do so. - Casandra Chesser
