· Yahoo Sports
The Boston Red Sox faced off against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday night and the fanbase had a clear message for ownership: "Sell the team."

The contest was a close and competitive one, for the most part. The score was tied at zero heading into the eighth inning before old friend Kyle Schwarber blasted his league-leading 18th homer of the season to kick off the scoring.

An error, a single, a hit by pitch, and a successful challenge from Philadelphia led to two more runs. It has been a difficult season, to say the least, for Boston and the fanbase at Fenway Park let ownership hear it on Thursday after the brutal eighth inning.

It’s hard to even describe how unwatchable the Red Sox offense is. Sell the team and fire Breslow. Enough is enough.

Trade Jared Duran then sell the team.

Just a brutal stretch, to say the least.
