Patriots rookie TE Eli Raridon reveals biggest goal this offseason
· Yahoo Sports
New England Patriots tight end Eli Raridon has one goal in particular heading into the offseason. The rookie wants to add more weight to his frame before training camp begins.
Raridon measures in at 6-foot-7 and 251 pounds. His frame should make him a massive red zone target for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. But he also has impressive route skills at the tight end position, along with the ability to make plays with the ball in his hands.

There is also the potential for him to be an elite blocker. Raridon is the complete package as a tight end prospect, but he is determined to do whatever it takes to prepare physically for NFL competition.
“I think it’d be the smartest thing to do — to play at 255 to 260 pounds," Raridon told Kay Adams on Up & Adams. "…Putting on about 5 to 10 pounds before my rookie season would be the smartest thing for me to do.”
The Patriots needed help at tight end with Hunter Henry turning 31 years old and Austin Hooper joining the Atlanta Falcons. Raridon has an opportunity to take the mantle as the next great tight end in New England. He is an intriguing player given his size, ball skills and athleticism.
These traits not only make him a viable draft selection but a player who can come in and contribute in short order.
