The Pittsburgh Steelers, shockingly, still don't know who their starting quarterback will be in 2026 under Mike McCarthy.

With Aaron Rodgers still taking time to come to a decision on his future, right now, it is Will Howard, Mason Rudolph, and Drew Allar as the players McCarthy can work with.
But surely a decision has to come from Rodgers soon, right? Given that it has been a couple of months, the Steelers can't wait forever.
And for former head coach Mike Tomlin, who began his analyst role on Football Night In America, when asked who the starting quarterback will be in 2026, he gave a definitive response.
"If you put a gun to my head, I say it's AR," Tomlin said on Football Night In America. "I think at the end of the day, he'll play football."

Steelers continue to wait on Rodgers
We are now after the NFL Draft, and the Steelers still don't know what Rodgers will be doing. Well, at least publicly, it doesn't seem like it. Behind closed doors, it could be different.
With McCarthy about to start his first offseason as Pittsburgh's head coach, surely he needs to know of Aaron's intentions, right? Has enough time elapsed that we can ask Rodgers how much more time he needs? Maybe.
The Steelers drafted Allar to add another body to the room, so if Rodgers does return, it will make for an interesting dynamic. But right now, we are still no closer to knowing when or if Rodgers will return than we were two or three months ago.
Make of that what you will.
