The Celtics looked the part of a title contender in a dominant Game 1 performance against the 76ers.
Boston jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to a 123-91 win in the opening game of its first-round series. Jayson Tatum (25 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists) and Jaylen Brown (26 points, four rebounds, three assists) led the way, but it was a complete team effort with six different players scoring at least 10 points.
Philadelphia had a miserable night offensively, shooting under 40 percent from the field. Tyrese Maxey finished with a team-high 21 points and eight assists.
