The Las Vegas Aces have brought aboard a naturally gifted scorer in a free agent signing after a year away from the WNBA.
Chennedy Carter brings more than bucket-getting to the league, but that's what the Aces will be thinking about with their new guard.
Jackie Powell reported the news on Wednesday:
Chennedy Carter is returning to the #WNBA and will join the Las Vegas Aces, two sources familiar with the situation confirmed to the @TheIXSports this morning. The Aces needed some bench depth.

Carter has come under fire throughout her WNBA career, both for "conduct detrimental to the team" in 2021 with the Dream and then again in 2024 when she had a hard foul on Caitlin Clark draw a lot of criticism.
So in one sense, she's a risky signing.
But if she shows maturity on the court, she can be a big help for the Aces.
Carter is a career 14.6 point per game scorer. She came out of Texas A&M as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft after being a near-unstoppable offensive player for the Aggies.
Carter played two seasons with the Atlanta Dream before some conflict started. She joined the Los Angeles Sparks for 2022, and she played for the Chicago Sky in 2024.
Just 28 years old, Carter can still make an impact if she can keep her behavior in a decent place.
The Aces have decided to take the chance on her in hopes that she will.
