The Cleveland Browns' quarterback position is going to be a fascinating watch over the duration of the offseason, because we have no idea how it will shape up.

Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, and Dillon Gabriel are the three vying for the starting role, and whoever wins isn't likely to instill too much confidence heading into 2026.

But what if the Browns added another quarterback to the battle?

In Pete Prisco's latest mock draft for CBS Sports, at pick No. 24, he has the Browns taking Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson after a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"Their quarterback room isn't good right now, so why not add to it? They can wait until next year, but with a new coach in Todd Monken this works," Prisco wrote.

Browns can't go QB again, can they?

Given that the Browns still don't really know what they have in Sanders or Gabriel, adding another young quarterback to the room isn't a great move. Especially one drafted in the first round.

Generally, those taken in the first round are slated to be starters for their team, but Simpson, unless he absolutely blows the offseason out of the water, isn't likely to be ahead of at least Sanders and Watson.

So, a first-round pick on a QB who might not even start? That is a high price to pay considering the other areas of need on Cleveland's roster.

The quarterback situation is already in flux, and adding another first-round quarterback to the mix would be the most Browns thing ever.
