JEE Main 2026 Session 2: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2 was initiated in Saudi Arabia on 2nd April. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has confirmed that necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduction of the examination for candidates in that region.

In a message posted on social media, the Embassy said it is extending full support to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the designated examination centre to facilitate the process and assist the students.

NTA revises centres, reschedules exams after student requests

The start of the exam abroad follows a set of changes introduced by the NTA after receiving multiple representations from aspirants. According to an official notice, candidates in the Middle East had requested a change of centres due to the ongoing conflict in the region. The agency said it reviewed these requests and revised examination centres accordingly.

The NTA has also rescheduled exams for candidates who sought a change in dates due to Easter celebrations on April 5, 2026. Those who had written to the agency were accommodated, with their exam dates adjusted.

In addition, the agency attempted to minimise clashes with Class 12 board examinations. It coordinated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to access exam schedules and used candidate data submitted during applications to avoid overlaps. Requests related to clashes with other examinations were also considered on a case-by-case basis.

Meanwhile, in India, the JEE Main Session 2 exams are being conducted as per schedule. The second day of the examination will be held on April 4 in two shifts from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Overall, around 11.23 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam across 304 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The adjustments, the NTA said, are aimed at ensuring fairness and convenience for candidates appearing across different regions and circumstances.
