This balanced expansion signals resilient demand both within India and in overseas markets, reinforcing Bajaj Auto’s dual-market strategy.

Two Wheelers Lead Growth

Two-wheelers remained the primary growth engine, with total sales rising 21 percent to 3,80,473 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased to 2,21,021 units, while exports reached 1,59,452 units, both recording over 20 percent growth.

Commercial vehicles also delivered solid performance, with total sales up 20 percent to 64,904 units. Here too, exports slightly outpaced domestic volumes, highlighting improving traction in international markets.

Exports Drive Momentum

The data suggests exports continued to play a critical role in overall expansion. For the full financial year, exports grew 21 percent to 22,50,183 units, significantly outpacing domestic growth of 3 percent.

Executive Director Rakesh Sharma indicated that the company’s sustained focus on global markets has helped offset relatively modest domestic growth, especially in mature segments.

Strong FY26 Finish

The steady closing performance positions the company well as it enters FY27, particularly with exports continuing to act as a key growth lever.

Bajaj Auto’s March numbers cap a year defined by export-led expansion and consistent domestic demand, reinforcing its standing as one of India’s leading automobile exporters.
