WWE Raw Results, Winners And Highlights

Stephanie McMahon And Cody Rhodes Open WWE Raw

  • Stephanie McMahon made a surprise appearance and told Cody Rhodes he couldn’t beat Randy Orton unless he thinks like Randy Orton. Dusty Rhodes understood this, and “you are not your father.”
  • Rhodes alluded to Orton’s drug problems while he was Randy Orton’s understudy, and declared that he is not a student. Rhodes mogged Stephanie McMahon by saying he’s not his father, but she’s not her father either. Huge pop.
  • Stephanie McMahon slapped Cody, not once, but twice. It was presented as tough love. Cody Rhodes said “I’ve got two words for you: Thank you.”

The Vision Def. The Usos

  • The Usos came out to new theme music, no yeeting and no pop. They walked out through the entrance way and not the crowd. I hated it, and so did MSG.
  • Fans got into the match early, chanting “let’s go Usos” as Jey superkicked Austin Theory with a trash can on his head. The Usos then teed off on Austin Theory with kendo sticks. MSG approved.
  • The Usos hit a superplex on Theory through a table as fans chanted “holy s—t.” Logan Paul’s mother handed him brass knuckles from the front row. IShowSpeed, still cursed by Danhausen, was seated front row, and Paul dragged him over the barricade.
  • LA Knight was on commentary, and he went to stop IShowSpeed. Speed accidentally KO’d Knight and fled the scene. Jimmy ran into a right hand with the Brass Knucks by Paul as a limp Theory barely covered Jimmy for the win.

Match Grade: B

Liv Morgan And Stephanie Vaquer Brawl As Roxanne Perez Returns

  • Liv Morgan opened by once again calling herself the greatest Royal Rumble of all time, with the “all” dragged out. The crowd still isn’t singing along and they’re running out of time. Morgan got personal and mocked Stephanie Vaquer for not having any family in America. She spoke Spanish and called Stephanie’s mom trash.
  • Vaquer hit the ring and immediately brawled with Morgan. Roxanne Perez hit the ring and turned it into a 2v1. Morgan finished Vaquer with the Oblivion and called her a “bitch” for good measure.

Bayley And Lyra Valkyria Vs. The Unstoppable Forces Ends In DQ

  • Bayley had the spot of the night when she powerbombed Nia Jax from the corner. Lash Legend and Nia Jax’s fits were inspired by the movie Clueless.
  • The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss interrupted the match and forced a DQ. This all but guarantees a multi-woman tag team match for the titles at WrestleMania 42.

Match Grade: C+

Triple H Stops Brock Lesnar And Oba Femi From Brawling

  • Brock Lesnar walked out in his ring gear. Paul Heyman went on a long monologue of excuses about why Oba got the better of Brock, but Lesnar finally cut off Heyman and demanded Oba come to the ring now.
  • Adam Pearce interrupted with WWE security as fans booed. Pearce has a main event to protect, so he demanded these gentlemen leave the ring. Oba Femi walked out anyway. Even Brock Lesnar was doing a bit of the Oba dance as he prepared for combat.
  • Oba ran through security like a Nigerian knife through butter. Femi methodically made Brock Lesnar wait. Fans chanted “holy s—t” Triple H ran in and got in the middle of the two to huge boos.
  • Lesnar laughed and stepped out of the ring as fans booed even more. Lesnar grabbed a stair step, only to drop it and walk off. Lesnar hit a standing F5 on a security guard to send a message and that was the end of the segment.

Penta Def. Kofi Kingston

  • Kofi Kingston once again argued with Grayson Waller as Raw went to a commercial. Earlier in the night, Kofi Kingston was seen backstage speaking with Je’Von Evans.
  • Kofi took the fight to Penta out of the break and hit the SOS for a nearfall. Kingston dove to the outside but Penta caught him and tossed him on the table. Penta followed up with a Mexican Destroyer on Grayson Waller.
  • Back in the ring, Penta flew from the top rope but ate a sick Trouble in Paradise for a nearfall. Penta returned to the top rope, hit a front-face suplex on Kofi and finished him off with a Mexican Destroyer. MSG was really into Penta.
  • After the match, Penta announced a Ladder Match, which should take care of several top stars who currently do not have a Mania match with just 18 days left. Participants include Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh and Rusev.

Match Grade: B

Gunther Returns And Saves Paul Heyman From Seth Rollins

  • Paul Heyman appeared in the ring once again to congratulate the Vision on their tag title win. Adam Pearce had asked Paul several times if he checked his email. He didn’t.
  • Pearce confronted Heyman live and asked once again if he checked his email. Heyman boldly bluffed as if he checked his email. Heyman said he was the last promoter standing from the 1990s. Pearce noted that all charges against Seth Rollins have been dropped, and Seth is medically cleared to compete (as noted in the email.)
  • Enter Seth Rollins, who laid out Heyman with a steel chair to the back. Rollins prepared for a stomp, but he was stopped by Gunther and a rear-naked choke. Gunther and Rollins is now official for WrestleMania 42.

Raquel Rodriguez Def. Iyo Sky

  • Neither Iyo Sky or Raquel Rodriguez received an entrance. Iyo ran wild to start the match before Raquel overpowered her. Coming out of the break, Iyo launched into her comeback and went for the Over the Moonsault. Raquel stopped her with her feet in the air.
  • Kairi and Asuka walked down to the ring. Kairi got on the apron and distracted Rodriguez, who booted her off the apron. Iyo rolled Raquel up for the nearfall and followed up with a second Bullet Train in the corner.
  • Iyo was now distracted, and she hit an ugly suicide dive on Asuka to the outside. Back in the ring, Iyo walked into a Tejana Bomb.

Match Grade: B-

Roman Reigns And CM Punk Face Off

  • Roman Reigns came out first and received his usual superstar reaction. Fans overtook a “Roman Reigns” chant with “CM Punk” chants. Reigns asked New York City to acknowledge him.
  • CM Punk walked out with a purpose. He had his fists taped, and the two immediately began brawling. Reigns laid out Punk with a Superman Punch. WWE officials poured out from backstage to stop the two, but they were ineffective.
  • Reigns tried to powerbomb Punk through the table to no avail. Punk tried the GTS and failed. After Reigns speared a WWE official, Punk caught him with a GTS. Punk teased that he was going to leave before returning to pummel Reigns. Punk put Roman through a table with a powerbomb.
  • Punk sat Indian style and mocked the “Roman Reigns” chant as Michael Cole played up the crazed look in his eye.
