Texas Longhorns men's swimming & diving win National Championship

Back to back! The Texas Longhorns men's swimming and diving team have won its second consecutive NCAA National Championship. This is also coach Bob Bowman now has three consecutive NCAA titles, dating to his 2024 championship at Arizona State.

Led by superstar Hubert Kós and his record-breaking win in the 200-yard backstroke, the Longhorns scored 445.5 points to outpace the field at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta to secure the 17th national championship in program history.

Kós, who's swim of 1:34.13 broke his own NCAA, U.S. Open, meet and program records. The Hungarian now holds back-to-back NCAA titles in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke and is expected to medal in the next summer Olympics.

Texas clinched the title with a sixth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay as the quartet of Kós, Garrett Gould, Rafael Fente-Damers and Kyle Peck finish in 2:45.97, a program-record.
