There were many bright spots this season, butone of the biggest stories was Clara Strack's continued development into a star. She was certainly a big reason the Wildcats made the Sweet 16, and though it was a disappointing Saturday, Strack did deliver some great news. She's coming back for her senior season.
This season, Strack averaged 16.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game. She was also instrumental in Kentucky's two tournament wins, posting 18 points and 15 rebounds in their win over West Virginia.
Strack received a number of honors for her play this year. She was named first-team All-SEC, SEC All-Defensive team, and was an honorable mention for the All-American team. Now, she'll return with a chance at being even better. Brooks has a loaded recruiting class, and Strack will have talent around her. Her final season could wind up being the best yet.
