The New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants have been battling it out over the past few days, and we got to hear Barry Bonds speak about how he felt about the Yankees and some of the top players on their roster. Of course, that allowed the greatest hitter of all time to speak about the current best hitter and baseball in Aaron Judge. 

While he had nothing but great things to say about the Yankees' captain, it was more than just him being a good baseball player. 

Bonds said that Judge isn’t just one of the most dominant hitters in baseball, but the kind of player every team wants to build around.

“If you want to talk about team, that’s the man I want on my team. If you want to talk about character, that’s the man I want on my team,” Bonds said. “On that field, I was probably the best teammate you would ever have. I took more walks for my team. Got on base for my team. And that’s what baseball is about… Aaron Judge brings that to his team every day. Year in and year out.”

When Bond says things like this, it's almost unfair to say what he's saying isn't true. If we look at his numbers, there's simply not a player who has ever done anything close to him. From walks, home runs, and much more, Bonds knows a thing or two about hitting. 

Whether it’s swinging in at the highest level or being a good teammate, Judge has really done a great job being the captain of such a storied organization.
