PSG Stars in International Action: How Thursday's Slate Went
· Yahoo Sports
Thursday marked the first full day of the final international break of the 25/26 season, and with it, there was a lot of action for a number of different PSG first-team players.
So, let's take a look at who was in action and how things went both collectively and individually.

To begin, Ilya Zabarnyi captained Ukraine for their World Cup playoff semi-final against Sweden in Spain. It wasn't to be for his side, as they fell to a 3-1 defeat on the night. They will now play Albania in a friendly on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Khvicha Kvartaskhelia was in action for Georgia as they hosted Israel in a friendly - scoring twice in a 2-2 draw, with a strike either side of the half-time break. These goals mean PSG's number 7 has now scored 22 times in 48 games for his country. They will face Lithuania away from home in a friendly on Sunday.
Over in the States, there was plenty of PSG representation as France took on Brazil. Though not from Marquinhos, who missed the game with a knock picked up in training.
Nevertheless, Ousmane Dembele started the game and provided a lovely assist for former PSG forward Kylian Mbappe in the first half to open the scoring. Desire Doue came off the bench in the second half, whilst Warren Zaire-Emery, Lucas Chevalier, and Lucas Hernandez were unused subs.
After a red card to defender Dayot Upamecano, Dembele was sacrificed for debutant Maxence Lacroix just before the hour mark, giving him some rest. France won the game 2-1, with a winner from another former PSG attacker in Hugo Ekitike.
Marquinhos' side will face Croatia in a friendly on Tuesday night, whilst the French will face Colombia in a friendly on Sunday evening. It remains to be seen if the skipper will be fit in time for that game. Keep an eye out for updates on that one.
Overall, a pretty productive day. Some good performances, and also some rest for key players here and there. Let's hope for no injuries in the second round of games. Tomorrow sees Achraf Hakimi's Morocco face Willian Pacho's Ecuador in Madrid.
Meanwhile, Matvey Safonov and his Russian side will face Nicaragua in a friendly of their own. Saturday night will see the Portuguese contingent in action away to Mexico. Make sure to stay tuned here for all the updates.
