SALT LAKE CITY - The Golden State Warriors are heading home with as many losses as wins this season. Seth Curry's return to their action for the first time in three months notwithstanding.

The Warriors integrated the veteran sharpshooter back into their rotation against the (tanking) Utah Jazz at Delta Center, but never led by more than three Monday en route to an undermanned 119-116 loss. As a result, Golden State's winning percentage fell to .500 (32-32) for the first time since Dec. 29.
Inactive since Dec. 4 with sciatica, Seth Curry scored 13 points in 12 minutes with his older brother Stephen missing his 14th consecutive game with runner's knee. Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Moses Moody and Will Richard were also out for the Warriors, who got 22 points from De'Anthony Melton and 15 points and eight rebounds from Gui Santos.
Playing without star forward Lauri Markkanen and standout big man Jaren Jackson Jr. - along with Walker Kessler, Ace Bailey and Isaiah Collier - the Jazz were led by Brice Sensabaugh and his 21 points. Former Santa Cruz Warriors wing Blake Hinson made the tiebreaking three from the corner with 29.4 seconds to play.
Utah shot 27 of 29 from the free-throw line while Golden State shot 14 of 21, including four fourth-quarter misses for Brandin Podziemski.
Seth Curry took the floor with 9:12 to go in the opening quarter, spacing to the corner on his first possession before catching and converting a corner three. He added another first-quarter catch-and-shoot three and was fouled while shooting a three in the second, making three free throws to help the Warriors head into halftime with a 59-55 deficit. Podziemski picked his spots to attack and Post found position beneath the basket, helping Golden State's first-half offense.
Utah (20-45) gain some separation on the scoreboard in the third quarter after Nate Williams made a game-tying putback, uncorking a 10-0 run capped by a four-point play for Kevin Love. Seth Curry followed a free throw from Santos with a mid-range jumper and driving layup, but Golden State trailed 91-84 to start the fourth quarter.
The Jazz expanded their lead to 11 before the Warriors paired a series of scores with a series of stops, trailing by three after Blake Hinson made a corner triple down the stretch. But Melton drove for two and Draymond Green split a pair of free throws for a 113-113 tie in the final minute. Then came Hinson's heroics in the corner.
Golden State returns to play Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls at Chase Center.
Jazz 119, Warriors 116
