The Baltimore Ravens rocked the NFL world when they traded for Maxx Crosby. The move signaled their Super Bowl intent.

But the NFL gives, and it also takes, and as free agency approaches, it feels as if the Ravens are going to say goodbye to one of Lamar Jackson's best protectors.
Three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum is set to be a free agent and will reportedly command top-of-the-market money, something the Ravens have already offered him.
Yet free agency still looms.
And for Fox Sports' Greg Auman, his offseason prediction sees Linderbaum link up with former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh with the New York Giants.
"Linderbaum, 25, has been to three straight Pro Bowls and was PFF's No. 4 center in 2025," Auman wrote. "The Ravens had declined his fifth-year option, pricey at $24 million or so, and while he's likely the highest-paid offensive lineman in free agency, that should be at less than $20 million a year.
"With coaching changes, will he stay in Baltimore, or look at joining John Harbaugh with the Giants or Todd Monken with the Browns?"

Ravens can't afford to lose Linderbaum
But it feels like they're going to.
The fact that the franchise already has a contract offer on the table that will make him one of, if not the highest-paid centers in football shows Baltimore has cap space.
If Linderbaum is lost to free agency, the Ravens might not have too much trouble finding his replacement. However, the chemistry he and Jackson have isn't easy to come by.
Yes, training camp reps will be crucial, but Tyler and Lamar have been together for three seasons, and that is a lot of football.
So yes, the Ravens do have the financial means to replace Tyler, but surely they'd prefer not to.
