Your vote will determine who will be the Faber Builders Girls Sports Athlete of the Week for February 16-22. The players' credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Thursday morning.

The nominees are chosen by our sports reporters. If you would like to call attention to an athlete's performance to be considered for the nomination, please email [email protected] by 7 p.m. each Sunday. All athletes who play on Section V girls teams are eligible to be nominated.

Arizona Chapple

Newark basketball player had a double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds as the Reds wrapped up the regular season with a win against Midlakes.

Addison Falsone

Bloomfield basketball player knocked down six 3s en route to an 18-point effort in the Bombers’ win against Avon.

Lydia Sciallo

Penn Yan indoor track and field athlete who produced the best effort of the season in Section V in the shot put event during the Section V Class b2 Championships. A junior, Sciallo put the shot out to 41 feet-7.75 inches.

Rebecca Schroeder

A junior with the Webster Schroeder indoor track and field team who is now on top of the Section V season leaderboard for the 600-meter race. Schroeder finished the race in 1 minute, 36.35 seconds to become a champion at the Section V Class A1 sectional meet.

Abi Summerlin

Northstar Christian Academy basketball player had a massive double-double, with 36 points and 25 rebounds, with six blocks in a win against Rochester Charter.

Emerson Wandtke

Our Lady of Mercy basketball freshman posted 29 points against CG Finney to finish off the regular season.

Karizma Westcott

A junior on the Batavia indoor track and field team who ran the fastest 300-meter race among girls in Section V this season. Westcott won the race during the Section V Class B1 Championships when she finished in 40.12 seconds.
