Hot shooting from NDSU leads Bison over USD Women

VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — The USD women’s basketball team fell to Summit League-leading NDSU 81-68 Saturday afternoon in Vermillion.
Molly Joyce and Angelina Robles paced the Coyotes with 24 and 22 points, respectively. South Dakota held a two-point lead at the half, but the Bison got hot in the third and knocked down 6-of-8 from deep to pull in front and remain unbeaten in league play.

“Ultimately, it was our transition defense that kind of let them get the lead in the third,” USD senior guard Angelina Robles said. “Their shooters hit a couple quick ones.”
The Coyotes are now 11-3 in Summit League play, which is good for third place with two games remaining in the regular season.
