St. Vincent–St. Mary tops Ursuline despite Gunther milestone

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – St. Vincent St. Mary’s took down Ursuline, 61-48, despite another milestone night from Irish junior Jaylen Gunther on Tuesday night.

After breaking the program’s all-time scoring record last week, Gunther set the single-season mark against St. Vincent–St. Mary and finished with 12 points.
Ursuline was paced by Noah Bell with a game-high 29 points during the loss.
DeCarlo Prince led the opposing Irish with 21 points as they improved to 12-9 on the season.
With the win, Ursuline drops to 16-5 overall and will travel to play NDCL in a regular-season finale on Friday, Feb. 20.
